Title: Production Manager (PM)
Department: Operations
Reports to: Director of Operations
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Overview:
The Production Manager oversees construction operations within a designated market area, ensuring smooth project completion, quality, and profitability. They work with the Director of Operations and Senior Construction Managers to drive accountability, manage resources, and improve processes. This role includes managing project starts, ensuring deadlines are met, and solving bottlenecks in real-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Set clear expectations, hold teams accountable, and align with Thomsen Homes’ vision.
- Operations Management: Supervise Senior and Assistant Construction Managers, manage hiring, performance reviews, and development plans.
- Process Improvement: Continuously refine team processes and implement efficiency improvements.
- Project Start & Completion: Oversee project timelines from start to finish, ensuring resources are optimized.
- Quality Control: Ensure project quality standards and cleanliness are met throughout the process.
- Vendor Relations: Manage trade partner relationships, onboarding, and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Financial Oversight: Focus on cost reduction through efficiency improvements and variance tracking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of construction experience, including residential experience, with 3+ years managing staff.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and related software.
