4th of July

The 4th of July is such a special holiday centered around patriotism, family, friends, BBQ's and so much more. We asked a few of our Thomsen team what their favorite thing was about the 4th of July and here is what they had to say:

I love being with friends and family at the lake. Playing yard games, eating amazing BBQ, and lighting up some fireworks! Everyone is always in a great mood on the 4th! - Shannon

Time spent with family and friends. Fireworks over the lake and good food! - Britten

The best part about the 4th of July is the time with family and friends at the lake! - Niels

Family, food, and fireworks! We hardly ever plan anything, so no matter what it is very relaxing! - Caitlin

I love being able to spend time with family and friends! - Shelby

My favorite thing about the fourth is how we all gather at the lake and know it’s going to be a “long weekend”. My favorite thing to do is spend all day on the boat with friends and family either mingling at the sandbar, surfing, or cruising to Zorbaz with a cold one in my hand, soaking up the heat of the sun! -Rebekah

The closeness of family/friends celebrating such a significant day! - Kirsten

Family gathering together under one roof celebrating America! - Nate

The patriotism that surrounds this holiday and spending it with loved ones! - Paul

Enjoying a cocktail or two on the lake is the best! - Andy

My favorite thing about the 4th of July is watching it through my kids’ eyes. Experiencing the day with young kids, eating good food and watching fireworks is the best! - Chelsey

Spending time with family and enjoying America's Birthday! - Jessica

I love everything about this holiday! The red, white and blue themed food/cocktails, lake time, being surrounded by friends and family, parades and fireworks! - Lauren

I love sitting around the campfire with my family and watching the fireworks at the lake! My lake has a lot of young kids and it’s so fun watching them get excited for the boat parade and fireworks at night! -Jocelyn
