Carin “Cares For You” Harles: Warranty Manager Extraordinaire

Carin Harles is our top Warranty dog here at Thomsen. She is in charge of scheduling maintenance visits and communication between subs/vendors and clients. When not working, you can find Carin with her hubby and one-year old son, Jackson. She also loves to rock out to some Breaking Benjamin (my all-time favorite band too, props Carin) and cheer on the Vikings as they beat up on the Broncos (her hubby’s favorite team.)   12. What’s a typical day like for you at work? I don’t know if I have had any two days be the same. I am either talking with homeowners or subcontractors to line up repairs, constantly checking my email/BuilderTrend, and doing punch lists, closings, or an 11 month walk-through.

  1. Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What did you want to be when you grow up? A veterinarian
  2.  My favorite word in the English language is? Uffda
  3. If you were a superhero, what super power would you have? I would want to be able to fly. That way I could get around quickly and get a different view ?
  4. If you could be one character from any movie, who would you be and why? Carrie Bradshaw from “Sex and the City”- Have you seen her shoe collection! Yes, please!
  5.  Favorite holiday and why? Christmas, I love everything about this holiday from the food to festivities it is just a joyful time!
  6.  Look at your last song listened to. What is it? Ummm… The Cupid Shuffle- It’s my 18 month old’s favorite.
  7. What, or who, are you a “closet fan” of? All things Bravo ?
  8. Would you rather explore a new planet, or the deepest parts of the ocean, why? Can’t I just explore land ? ? I guess if I had to, I’d pick a planet. I probably would not want to get out of the space craft though. Not really a fan of aliens:)
  9. If you could play one instrument you aren’t able to now, what would it be and why? Piano, because it is such a classic and beautiful form of music.
  10. Outside of work, where can we find you at your happiest? At home with my family, or on water. I love spending time on a boat and on water.
  11. What is “home” to you? Home is where my family is. A place where I can unwind and be myself. Really, my happy place.
  12. What are you most grateful for? Family and Friends and the community I live in.
  13.  What are some small things that make your day better? Cheese. Really any kind of cheese ? A sunny day, there is nothing better. And baby giggles.
  14. If you could switch roles with anyone in the company for a day, which one would you choose and why? A Construction Manager, I think it would be fun to build a home from start to finish.
  15. What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job? I think I am a good listener and am able to bring a creative vision to life. One of my favorite parts about being in Marketing at Thomsen Homes is I am able to connect with customers and document their stories of who they are and the home they built with us.
  16. What do you love most about your job? I get to be creative and learn new things. And of course the awesome people I get to work with!

 

Creative Genius or Just Crazy? Shannon Seefeldt: Graphic Designer & Marketing Coordinator

Shannon is part of our creative hub here at Thomsen. She started as a sales assistant 3 years ago and eventually landed her dream job as graphic designer & marketing coordinator and hasn’t looked back since. Whether it’s her music playing or just someone who is there for a good laugh, Shannon brings a lot of spunk to Thomsen Homes. Her office looks like a dorm room and her food smells terrible (thanks eggs). Get to know more about Shannon below!

1. Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What did you want to be when you grow up? A veterinarian. I have a huge passion for animals!
2. My favorite word in the English language is? Schlep
3. If you were a superhero, what super power would you have? To selectively read minds.
4. If you could be one character from any movie, who would you be and why? Elizabeth Swann from Pirates of the Caribbean. Badass.
5. Favorite holiday and why? Halloween. You get a night to be something other than yourself and “escape reality” for a while. Who doesn’t love dressing up?!
6. Look at your last song listened to. What is it? “Forget It” – Breaking Benjamin

7. What, or who, are you a “closet fan” of? I’m sadly really into Kottonmouth Kings which is a part of the whole Juggalo/ICP thing (don’t judge me).

8. Would you rather explore a new planet, or the deepest parts of the ocean, why? Ocean. If you’ve seen any ocean documentaries, it’s another planet in itself. 

9. If you could play one instrument you aren’t able to now, what would it be and why? Drums, hands down. Super fun. Those people are very talented.

10. Outside of work, where can we find you at your happiest? Outdoors with my family and friends. Find me snowboarding in the winter; hiking and laking it in the summer. 
11. What is “home” to you? Home is my safe place. It’s also the place where memories are made and people come together.
12. What are you most grateful for? I am most grateful for my son who teaches me every day the value of life and the importance of patience and kindness.
13. What are some small things that make your day better? Laughter and music. 
14. If you could switch roles with anyone in the company for a day, which one would you choose and why? Honestly, I think I’d take the construction assistant’s role (in the summer). I don’t think I’d mind getting a little dirty!
15. What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job? Creativity, positivity, a mind that never stops thinking. 

16. What do you love most about your job? I love creating ways for the public to engage with our team and giving something back to the community through art & video.

Nate “The Great” Anderson: Often Imitated, Never Duplicated

Nate is our Broker and master salesman here at Thomsen. He’s been with us for six years, making him a staple figure at the office. With a knack for communicating and handling multiple clients at a time, Nate is one to go to when looking to purchase a home! Outside Thomsen, Nate is quite the busy man! I feel that building real relationships with our clients and business partners is how we provide the best experience in our industry. Heidi Toso: Small Town Girl With a Big Look on Life & Design

Mix together a little spunk, attitude, persistence, hats of all kinds and a wealth of design knowledge and you have the perfect recipe for Heidi Toso. Heidi came to Thomsen Homes from High End Custom Homes and production 3.5 years ago and where would we be without her? She is the bread and butter of everything design here at Thomsen and with the design team, she makes your dreams come to life! You can catch her lakeside in the summers with her family, winding down with a cold one. You might even see her walking her cute dogs around town! Get to know Heidi and what she’s all about below!

2.  Do you have any hidden talents or skills? I make a mean pan of pumpkin bars, I used to be one heck of a slalom water skier & synchronized swimmer and I can float in the water for hours- effortlessly!

3.  If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be? On an remote beach with sun & sand (and a cold beverage) or Las Vegas – can’t decide between the 2, love em’ both!

4. Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What did you want to be when you grow up? A veterinarian. I have just love animals and should probably live on a hobby farm!

13. What’s a typical day like for you at work? Hmm….typical is the abnormal, what’s typical even mean?! Haha. Every day is different and every day is an adventure. Seriously – some of my time is spent designing, but majority of my time is customer service, project management and Team Management.

14.  What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job? Diverse Background from High End Customs homes to Production and many years of experience in the home building industry wearing lots of hats throughout the years!

15.  What do you love most about your job? The people I get to work with every day and the relationships I have created with staff and designing new floor plan layouts/options!
