Hearing the stories and being a part of our clients journey of building their home is so rewarding and one of the many reasons of why we do what we do. So, when Jenna Meyers author of “Grape Tootsie Pop” blog and her husband Brady decided to build their second home with Thomsen in Fargo, we thought it would be fun to have her be a guest blogger and share their experience with building their new home. Stay tuned to the Thomsen Homes blog and how the Meyers have been building special moments with Thomsen Homes.
Meet the Meyers
Hello! My name is Jenna Meyers and I’ll be popping in on Thomsen’s blog as a guest contributor to walk you through our experience building a house with Thomsen Homes! I hope to offer you a unique experience since this is our second build with them. (And let’s face it, when you have a great experience, why wouldn’t you go back for more?!) In only 4 short years, a lot of things have changed about the process to make it even better and I’m looking forward to documenting our journey.
Proud to call Fargo Home
Now enough about that, let me share a little about myself and my family. I’m a lifetime resident of Fargo and am proud to call Fargo home! I graduated from NDSU in 2012 and have been working for Fargo Public Schools for 4 years. I’m currently a Reading Recovery teacher at Jefferson Elementary, where I work with at risk readers in Kindergarten and 1st grade. I enjoy reading, singing, and hand-lettering when time allows!
My husband and I have been married for 4 ½ years. We met in high school (yes… high school sweethearts! Insert sitcom television audience “awwww” here). Brady is also an NDSU graduate and is in his 4th year as a CPA at Eide Bailly of Fargo. He loves staying active with league basketball & racquetball and is simply a sports fanatic!
We have two beautiful daughters and two wild wiener dogs to complete our family of 6! Melody turned 2 on July 5th and Macy turned 1 on July 17th. Our sweet girls are 12 months and 12 days apart. They are full of joy, smiles, and lots of giggles! Parenthood has truly been the greatest part of our love story! The girls enjoy swimming, gymnastics, Kindermusik, reading, and just being sisters. Most of our free time is spent as a family going to activities, playing in the playroom, attending sporting events, and getting together with family and friends.
“Fur”st born children
Oscar (Oscar Meyers… pun intended) and Baxter are our “fur”st born children! When I say wild, it is no joke. Brady and I both swear that these too tiny creatures take more work than our young daughters! However, we love them just the same. Nothing is better than cuddles with the boys after a long day, and the girls are learning to love the many kisses that they have to offer.
Thank you for the opportunity to share our journey with Thomsen Homes with you! I’m looking forward to the process and am so excited to see our forever home come to life!
Stay tuned for more guest blogs by Jenna and their home building journey!
