How long does the building process take from start to finish?

Our building process takes approximately 6 months from start to finish.

What is the pricing of your homes?

What lots do you have available?

We have hundreds of available lots in the Fargo/Moorhead and Grand Forks area!

What is all included in a Thomsen Home?

In all of our builds, we provide specifications for you to see what is all included. Primary inclusions would be:

Sodded yard & sprinkler system
10x12 concrete patio w/ treated steps or green-treated deck with stairs (dependent on floor plan).
LP smart side on the entire front elevation for semi-custom homes
Your choice of granite or quartz countertops in your kitchen.
$3,100 stainless steel appliance package.

Do I need any money down? If so, how much?

It depends on which route you take! If you decide to purchase one of our fully completed homes, $2,000 in Earnest Money is required, and if you decide to build your new home from scratch, $5,000 in Earnest Money is required. That’s it! We cover all other costs associated with building. In nearly all cases nothing else is required until the day you move in!

Do I need to be represented by a real estate agent?

Yes! Our philosophy here at Thomsen Homes is that we would like all our clients to be represented by a real estate agent. This ensures you are getting expert knowledge from both the real estate agent and the builder, throughout your home-building process. How much are special assessments?

Special assessments on each lot are the owner’s portion of the costs of the City infrastructure like streets and sewers. The amount will vary by development and lot size. Each City finances this total balance to each lot owner so just a small amount is due each year and appears on your County property tax statement annually.
